Diabetic Signs
Return from the loo for the umpteenth time
eyes feel a little bit bleary
belly is saying it's tea-time again
and the tongue is all rough and quite scary
Ok, I'm not a poet.
You don't have to look hard for early diabetic signs. Listen to your body.
You're thirsty!
But it's not a hot day! You didn't eat ten bags of salty crisps! You haven't exercised (yet). You've just had three cups of tea.
There's no good reason to be thirsty, is there?
Single symptoms don't gain much attention in their own right. I mean, being thirsty isn't exactly weird, is it. Nor is feeling a bit tired or having one of those days where 'too much food' is not in your vocabulary. Most people have experienced these sensations, urges.
It's only when signs gang up that we actually bother to notice...
The cut on your knee has been scabbing for months
Your skin is alive with infection
Your jangly bits are all itchy and sore
and you can't even get an erection
Ok, I'll stop with the rhyme nonsense.
But, it's not a good idea to let things go too far! Whatever your blood glucose levels are doing, there are ways to sort it out.
